120 p o r t l a n d monthly magazine cheers For rosé wines, don’t miss the fantastic Le Charmel Rosé, which, when consider- ing the price, is a winner year in and year out at $12.99 a bottle. It leaves aromas of raspberries and wild flowers with wonder- fully bright notes of strawberry and pear on the palate. A nother fan favorite is the Daniel Crochet Sancerre Rosé made from 100-percent Pinot Noir. The high- pitched aromas with hints of red berries and flowers are beautifully structured in this wine with a lingering finish. Finally, might I address wine-in-a- can. While this is not on my top ten list of things to try, if one must, a bumpy boat ride might be the only excuse. In such a case, I recommend the Tiamo Rosé made from organic grapes. It is quite delicious–re- gardless of the vessel it travels in and you’re traveling on. n RalphHersomisasommelierandtheownerof Ralph’s HinghamWineMerchantinHingham,MA.
