You probably think this story’s about you. And it is! If you are so Maine, you likely know the “State of Maine Song,” written in 1931 by Roger Vinton Snow Sr. (1890–1953) of Falmouth. He was the first president of the Portland Players, also established in 1931 as the Portland Dramatic Guild, one of America’s oldest community theaters. (Snow starred that year in Green Chartreuse.)
