If you speak English, I will tell you that you speak French. If you deny it, I will quote you the Wikipedia statistic that says 45 percent of the words in the English language are of French origin. If you continue to say you are not a bilingual speaker, I will say that 7,000–10,000 words in the English language come from French. Do you still think you don’t speak French? As for attitudes against Maine French, let me just say that Maine French is a working, modern language and not a dialect.
