It’s a bright, sunny day in Kennebunk’s lower village. Light glitters off the river, and the atmosphere at the Pilot House is relaxed and welcoming. From the main floor, views of the marina open to the water beyond. Most of the patrons here are locals enjoying lunch at the new and improved Pilot House, an exclamation point in the recent history of the town.
