New Year’s resolutions just got a whole lot easier.

Most like it cold, some like it hot (ever try boiling steamers in beer?), and some even like it dry.
Since Portlander Neal Dow was the father of the Temperance Movement, we’ve resolved to try some local “dry”–to see if we can tolerate it.
Our city has two breweries crafting non-alcoholic (NA) beers that taste enough like the real thing to vanquish the memory of insipid non-alcoholic beers like O’Douls dispensed by the macro-breweries. Neither Kit NA Brewing in West Bayside nor Eighteen Twenty Brewing Co. in Riverside Industrial Park currently has a tasting room, so we decide to bring beer from both to Schulte & Herr, home of fabulous German comfort food and a BYOB policy.
