Fred Astaire’s incandescent dance song rings in my ears as we park on The Continental Portland’s large lot at 170 Brighton Avenue to grab dinner before a show at Portland Stage.
The vibe is zhushed but cahjzzz pub fare: Fish & Chips, French Onion Soup, Scotch Eggs, Chicken Schnitzel, Boxty (potato cakes with chive sour cream), Lamb Lollipops, Poutine, Roasted Cod.
