What was the eureka moment that inspired you to start AudioFile magazine?
I remember driving around Downeast, listening to an audiobook in the car—on probably cassettes, with no radio reception—and just being transported by a John le Carré espionage story. This has grabbed me, and I will not let go. It was very much a creative performance by the reader, like a theater piece or a musical.
