Lucky for Maine, we’re so much more intriguing than that: Kelly Flagg, Cooper Flagg, and Ace Flagg of Newport—all three former Nokomis Regional High School hoop stars—are a mother/son trio for the ages.

Mom first: Kelly [Bowman] Flagg racked up a record 1,257 points while she was rocking the crowds in the Nokomis gym. In college, playing for the Maine Black Bears’ winningest coach, Joanne Palombo-McCallie, 5′ 10″ Kelly was captain of the team that whipped Stanford in the 1999 NCAAs.
